Plano Senior Cup Details No event planned in 2025
What
- Ryder Cup like competition between WCSGA and PSMGA (Pecan Hollow)
- 2 day event with 2 man teams from each association
- Maximum 60 members from each association
- Match Play competition using 4 different 9 hole formats, each 9 hole match worth 1 team point
- No tournament fee, just playing for fun and bragging rights
- Closet-to-Pin side games for cash each day
- Using handicap indexes as of April 4th and adjusted specific to each course rating
- Teams and matchups set by ascending handicap (some variance due to roster/handicap changes)

- Pay green fees at each course on day of play, standard weekly fee for each course
- Pay CTP entry fee (cash only), $8 for both days will be collected on the first day
Other Info
- No regular weekly WCSGA tournament on the day of this competition
- Those that are members of both associations have been assigned to play for one or the other to balance the rosters
- Alternates may be used if an issue prevents participation on one or both days
- Will be managed using PSMGA custom software, not in our Golf Genius portal
- We will gather in Watters Creek pavilion at the end of Day 2
Rules
- Standard senior association rules used for each course, except no max score
- Match Play formats
- Day 1 Holes 1-9: Modified Alternate Shot (1 match point per hole)
- Both players hit tee shots, 2nd shot taken by player who's tee shot not used, alternate through hole out
- Day 1: Holes 10-18: Individual Net (2 matches, 1 match point each per hole)
- Day 2 Holes 1-9: Net Best Ball (1 match point per hole)
- Day 2 Holes 10-18: Combined Net (1 match point per hole)
- Day 1 Holes 1-9: Modified Alternate Shot (1 match point per hole)
- Record gross score and team net scores on scorecard
- Can pick up and concede a hole at anytime, mark 'X' on card for conceded holes
- Teams/players out of contention or given a hole should pick up
- Any team missing a player for Combined Net format will use 2X the solo player's net score
- Any team missing a player for Individual Net format will use solo player's net score against both of the opponents net scores
